Boxall Profile assessment £75 per assessment, follow up session required £60

Boxall profile is an assessment used to look at Social, Emotional, Mental Health and Behaviour. It is a detailed questionnaire that can be done either with a parent or via an observation in a group situation. Once the questionnaire is complete the results can be interpreted to allow a report of difficulties to be identified and allow possible interventions to be suggested.

A boxall leaflet which provides FAQs is here: Boxall-Profile-Leaflet-2019.pdf (nurtureuk.org)

The assessment takes around 30/50 minutes to complete and about 45 mins to create the report, analyse it and create targets and strategies to improve outcomes for the child or young person.

A follow up session is advised once the interventions have begun to identify any improvement in the previous difficulties.

Working memory rating scale assessment £60 per assessment & report

This assessment allows us to identify poor working memory skills in children. Due to the nature of this assessment it is not timed and will be based on observations of the child completing tasks.

Estimations of the time needed for observation is an hour at most and would allow a report to be made based on these observations.

Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire £75 per assessment

This questionnaire highlight areas of difficulty such as hyperactivity, emotional disregulation, peer problems, and pro social scoring which is then put into a report. It would take approximately 2 hours to complete all assessments, scoring and report writing.

This assessment is done by both the parent and child/young person in seperate questionnaires. If the child already has a suitable tutor or teacher, then they can complete one too.

This assessment does not require me to meet the child or conduct observations as the questionnaires provide rich data about the young person from a variety of sources.

Drawing & Talking Therapy (12 week session block) £360

This sessions must be conducted in a safe space such as at home, at school, or a private environment due to the nature of the work. Each session is 30 minutes in duration and the therapy cannot be repeated for at least a year after completion.

Drawing and Talking is a therapeutic intervention for children and adults. It is designed as a short-term pro-active intervention intended to complement, rather than replace, the work of Specialist Mental Health Services. Through a 12-week cycle of sessions this non-intrusive tool allows children and young people to bring what they need to their sessions. Utilising drawing as a way to help them express their feelings differently in ordinary verbal language. The Drawing and Talking therapeutic approach allows individuals to discover and communicate emotions through a non-directed technique. This is what sets Drawing and Talking apart from existing solution-focused and cognitive based therapies and interventions.
